Watching your kids Webkinz time.

In today’s technological environment, as the parent, you know you need to be watching your kids online.  But what about with webkinz? It’s really pretty G rated, right? I mean Webkinz pets don’t die, there’s innocent fun all around and even when kids interact with other kids in the Webkinz world it’s through a list of predetermined conversations like, “wow this is cool” “What are you up to today”.  So what’s there to worry about? 

Well, depending on how old your child is, it can be very frustrating trying to nagigate through all the links, posts and pages on the Webkinz site.  A five year old would, conceivably, have a much tougher time than the online savy tween, nowadays.  Also some kids may have access to the varies Webkinz cheats available across the Internet which may put them at an advantage above the other kids. 

What can be done about this?  How about considering webkinz time the perfect time for family time? Sit down with your child and go through the Webkinz site with them.  Some adults consider the Webkinz site less than user friendly so you can imagine how tough it might be for your little one!  While your navigating the site, talk to them, ask them questions about what is their favorite part of the site? What is their favorite Webkinz game?

How about bring about a more interactive experience with the Webkinz recipes?  After playing around with them online, you and your child can go to the kitchen and experiment with a few of them yourselves!  Another idea is if you’ve just bought new Webkinz, after you’ve finished online you can set up the Webkinz stuffed animals for a little Webkinz idol!  The family fun can be endless a little Webkinz online interaction and a whole lot of imagination.
